Guidelines for the Sacrament of Marriage at Sacred Heart of Mary

About the Program

Our program satisfies the Archdiocese of Denver requirement for attendance at a parish based life skills workshop. It is facilitated by trained volunteers and provides an opportunity for couples to communicate intimately with one another in order to deepen and enrich their relationship.

• Prayer and Spirituality in your marriage
• Interfaith marriages
• Understanding needs and expectations
• Decision making, change and children

The workshop is free from everyday routines, distractions and tensions. It concludes with the Sacrament of Reconciliation and Mass.

The facilitating team strives to provide a variety of fun activities including multi-media presentations, small group discussions and large group games and exercises.

Special Notes / Tips

• Wear comfortable clothing. If weather permits, you may want to sit outside.
• A light dinner is served Friday evening and a continental breakfast and lunch on Saturday.
• Smoking is not permitted within the building.
• Please be on time for the start of each day's session.
• Please leave your cell phone, pager, and other electronic devices at home. It is disruptive to you and the other couples during the workshop. Emergency numbers will be provided as well as access to telephones during the workshop to check on things at home.
• You will receive a Certificate of Attendance at the end of the program.
• Sign up for a workshop as far in advance to your wedding date as possible, as the number of couples on a workshop is limited.

Saturday, 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Please print out our informational brochure and sign-up form, fill it out, and either mail it to us (ATTN: Paddy Bray), or drop it off at the parish office during regular business hours.
