Welcome to Sacred Heart of Mary’s religious education!  We offer a variety of programs for all ages!  If your children are in preschool or kindergarten then you’re in the right place.  Sunday school is offered for children ages 3, 4, 5, and kindergarten.  Here are some specifics about the Sunday School program here at SHM.

• We meet on Sunday mornings during the 9:00 and 11:00 AM Masses.
  
  
• We rely on the generosity of volunteer catechists to teach the classes.  If you are interested in volunteering, please give Kerri Maxwell a call.
  
  
• We begin the last Sunday of September and run through the end of April.
  
  
• Each month, during the holiday weekend, Sunday school is not offered.  We do this to offer the children an opportunity to go to Mass with their family.
  
  
  • Ages 3, 4, & 5 currently use the “I Am Special” series.  They learn about how God made all things, and how God loves them so much!
    
    
  • Kindergarten uses the “This is Our Faith” series where they read Bible stories and talk about how they apply to themselves and their families.
    
    
• In addition to the lesson each week, the children also spend time singing and listening to the Gospel story with the whole group.  This singing time includes prayers, stories, and lots of singing!  In class with the classroom teachers the children make crafts, listen to stories, and learn about God’s beautiful world.
