High School Ministry
The goal of the High School Ministry is to assist the youth to become independent and confident Catholics so when they graduate they will want to continue practicing their faith and know how to go about living their faith. In order to accommodate the demands of school, homework, jobs, sports, music, and other extra-curriculars on our high schoolers, we offer "M&Ms" (otherwise known as Mini-Moments with God or mini-retreats), full weekend retreats, and service projects. Each event is designed to investigate our faith and find ways to apply our faith in our daily lives. Prayer is a key component in living our faith. Click here for a current schedule of M&M offerings and a downloadable permission slip.

Mentoring
Mentoring is a specific program designed to allow high school students to apply their faith by Mentoring the Middle School Youth Group. Mentors must be Confirmed and apply through an application process. The Mentors pray together and help lead and facilitate the prayers and activities in Middle School Youth Group on Thursday nights from 6:45 - 8:30 pm.
Middle School Youth Group
Meets Thursdays from 7:00 to 8:15 PM
The goal of Middle School Youth Group is to help the middle school youth develop a community and peer group to support them in their faith. Middle School Youth Group is open to anyone in 6th, 7th, or 8th grade. The program is scripture and Catechism based. We use prayer, hands-on activities, music, games, and relationships with peers, high school mentors, youth ministers, and parents to learn and live our faith. Over the course of the year, we cover topics like prayer, 10 Commandments, Saints, Sacraments, and the Mass. Our Motto is "Play Hard, Pray Hard, Know God!" Confirmation
The Archbishop has given each parish the ability to determine when they will offer preparation for Confirmation in their parish. At Sacred Heart of Mary the tradition has been to prepare and receive the Sacrament of Confirmation in High School. Most frequently this occurs during the youth's freshmen and sophomore years. By maintaining this tradition in the busy and often hectic culture that we live in, the community offers a challenge to the youth to keep their faith a part of their regular activities. The registration process starts in August and each year offers a unique set of opportunities for the youth to experience and grow in their faith. Click here for a copy of this year's registration and activities schedule.
Family Mass
Every Sunday at the 9:00 am Mass. From week to week the Family Mass is hosted by the children, and the youth of the parish, giving them the opportunity to minister to the parish in the roles of proclaimer, server, usher, Eucharistic Minister, sacristan or cantor. The Contemporary Youth Choir and Children's Choir are the music ministers at these Masses.
Family Ministry
Family Ministry is an off shoot from Youth Ministry and is designed to bring together families of all ages to share in their faith. Watch for details about Mother-Daughter events, Father-Son events, Family Group, Parent classes, Parent's Night Out, and Family events.
